Starting my CVH to Zetec conversion this week.

It will be:

Focus 1.8 Blacktop Zetec
Megajolt
ZX6R carbs & Bogg Bros manifiold
Westfield Exhaust [CVH one modified]


Any hints or tips welcome to help me avoid cocking anything up.

I'm sure everything will be fine stu, just have a good look through the archives of other zetec instals for inspiration.

With the help of others on here and the archive the job was made much easier for myself when outing the pinto

no personal experience of converting but i know one or two builders who have had oil filter to steering shaft clearence issues and have needed to use alternative/remote oil filter set-ups
other than that the zetec is a common install with lots of info on installing and setup. shouldnt be 2 difficult

I'm planning to use of a small oil filter to help with clearance [thanks for the tip Bob].

Also, I'm hoping that making the mounts up when the engine is in position should enable me to get enough clearance.

Hi stu

Remember if you can get the eng/gearbox back any further it will help the steering shaft oil filter issues.
