Is the this alternator repairable?
Hi, i have an alternator that will charge the battery below 3000 rpm, but above 3000 rpm it doesn't work, what could be wrong and is it easy to
sort out?

Some are replaceable some aren't

1st step is check the connections at the back of the alternator are clean a tight -- they handle a lot of amps.
2nd Step is check the drive belt is tight enough
3rd Step is check the charging voltage off load and under load
However if the connections are sound most likely the alternator regulator is knackered -- how easy to fix depends on the type Lucas-Magnetti Marelli
ones area a dawdle if you can get the parts,

its from a v6 mondeo ST24 engine, hopefully the regulator is replaceable?
