Bike fuel pump for a Weber DGV?

I'm trying to plan my change-over to bike carbs, and the first thing I want to do is fit the bike fuel pump.

The question is, will it supply enough volume & pressure to supply the Weber DGV 32/36 down-draft carb I've got at the moment? If it can, I will be able to do the switch in easy stages, without taking the car off the road for any great length of time.

I can't remember exactly which bike it's off (large Yamaha, I think). Timf - can you remember what it was?

cheers,
David

As dgav webers only need about 3psi I think you may have the opposite problem and may need a fuel regulator if you fit the bike fuel pump. I thought bike pumps ran alot higher psi than that. Wait to be corrected

Cheers

Volume won't be a problem you will not be using much more, if any, fuel than you do now. Pressure may be a problem, bike carbs only need about 1 psi so it might be a problem. If you have a mechanical pump fitted to your engine why not just use that and drop the pressure with a regulator? Thats what I use.
