Vauxhall Safira engines ???

Hi all, a friend of mine has a 1.8 Safira (?)which has killed the engine, (loss of oil preasure going up a hill )
They are having serious problems getting a new engine for their car, anyone know why this would be so and if poss where they might find a working engine in the south east ??

search ebay for vauxhall z18xe then come up a fair bit or there are a number of vaux breakers on the site that should be able to get you one, doesnt need to be out of a zaffira , just use the zaf box, loom & ecu on the new engine and your sorted.

or x18xev which was the ecotec engine. plenty on ebay at the moment, plus they seem to be most common in the breakers around my way
