Zerec black top cams into a silver top.
Does any one know if blacktop zetec cams can be used in a silver top phase 2 zetec with the hydraulic cam followers?
I am just fitting a replacement 1800 115bhp silver top and have the chance of some cams from a 2 litre blacktop, I know the 2.0 silvertop cams bring
it up to 130bhp spec but am unsure if the blacktop cams are also interchangable.

I am sure the black top cams are very different to the silvertop in many ways.

No you cant as the cams are for solid lifters and the silvertop has hydraulic lifters, it will wear out very quickly if you try it.
