Funny Clutch Noise
Have Zetec, Tiger flywheel, Pinto clutch. Sierra clutch pedal with Orion white quadrant.
Sitting in traffic today and noticed a rattle which sounds like it;s coming from the clutch right at the end of pedal travel.
Pushing the pedal down, it gets to btiing point, then disengages perfectly and will happily sit sationary in gear so must be completely free. Then
after quite a lot of travel disengaged, just as the pedal hits the stop, there's a rattle from the clutch.
Could it just be the selector arm or bearing rattling when everything is completely free? Or could there be something more sinister?
Drives fine.

If you mean it rattles with clutch pedal fully up then try to touch the clutch arm while the engine is idling and see if you can feel the arm moving
around or vibrating.

CLutch pedal fully down against the firewall. No problem at all with the pedal released.
Any other noises from a worn thruist bearing to prove it before I spend lots of time and money on it?

Sounds like over-throw on the clutch. Either put a quadrant with smaller radius in (if there is one, or put a stop n the pedal to prevent it going
down as far, or slack the cable off a bit to stop it over-throwing.

I had the same with mine when I bought it. Took my foot off the clutch and heard a chirrupping noise, that went when I applied some pressure
again.
The std clutch pedal has an auto-adjuster, but my pedal box doesn't.
I tightened the cable gradually using the adjuster nut on the bell housing until the noise stopped, pressed & released the clutch a few times to
check, and finally checked the biting point to make sure it wasn't too high, to avoid the smell of burning clutch! :-D Worked for me.
