Engine choice
Still looking at engine options, I have seen a renult 5gt engine with turbo for a cheap price are these modifiable to fit a locost or is it too much
hassle??

well u could always try a rotary 13b turbo
I mean for $1300 australian it can easly take on a V8 in a striaght line. And you want to know something it's is only 165kg including gearbox and
anchillarys. the gearbox is so narrow it will fit into the tranny tunnel with little effort. this could be ur alternative to the bike engine.

There's no known RWD gearbox to hook up to the Renault engine (without an adaptor plate anyway, also non known to be made).
Bit of a blunt answer, but I think this one came up about two weeks ago.....

the only thing i now of that goes to a renault is the volvo that uses the 1'4 and 1.7 engines but the g/box is in the bac axle
