Zetec timing marks

Hi, where are the timing marks on my Zetec (1994 1.8)?

I have a basic strobe and will need to use timing marks to check EDIS works in limp home mode (10 deg BTDC)once I get the engine started up, then power up the MJLJ and see if it works.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Hi folks,
why does my mark goes to 6 o'clock when the piston is at the upper death point? I made the adjustment when it is on 6 o'clock and the engine runs (on very high revs but i guess it is a MAF problem). I even made the first rub around the block)))) Sould i make it on 5 o'clock?
Thanks
Yavor

Dont use the marks to time the engine use the tools. It will be 100% then.

The cams are set with a 5mm plate in the back of the cams and the crank is set with a pin against the crank web.

The later blacktop doesnt even have that cast mark on the sump.

From memory its the longer of the two pins in this pic.

If you cant get one where you are give me a pm and I will get some dim's if you want to make one.
There is a bolt near the bottom of the block below the breather, exhaust side.

Re your very fast idle, havnt got your iacv the wrong way round have you ? also look for air leaks.

cheers
