Wideband Sensor or not

Just looking to get my Lambda sensor sorted out and I have been told that in order to make it worth while i need to go with a wideband kit @ 150+ vat... Is this really necessary?

thanks

Cant tell from your post but are you saying you have the sensor and need the rest of the kit or are you starting from scratch?

Does exhaust have the boss for the sensor? I can send you a narrow band kit to try if you want - ill just ask that you cover postage. i couldnt get away with it myself. The sensor range is too small, or perhaps im too ham fisted with adjustments, but id suggest if you are serious about tweeking then wideband is possible the way to go.

Hopefully someone local to you may have some kit to demo.

Thanks.. I think I will go the wideband route then.... What sort if money would you expect to pay for the amp and the sensor?

could be worth a quick search. I seem to recall a few kits have been discussed before but cant remember the specifics. Wasnt someone importing kits and making them up?

I bought a JAW kit from 14point7.com

I've assembled it but haven't tested it yet.

Trigger wheels .com do some nice cheap ones. £140 IIRC.

I have the wbo2 unit, purchased from Trigger wheels. It seems a great piece of kit for my needs. I've not done any hardcore tuning yet, but it worked first time out of the box (despite the fact I put in the wiring for it 6 months before even purchasing it!). Plenty of online help available from the dedicated forum at wbo2.com.
