ST170 manifold gasket

Just a quickie...

I've got an ST170 manifold and adapted a set of GSXR750 bodies to suit. The manifold seems to have some flat but not squishy sealing bits built in. Is this sufficient to seal the manifold to the head, or do I need to use the complex metal/rubber gasket I had under the aluminium manifold I had the old Webers mounted to?

Cheers,
Andy.

I was suprised to see no gasket when I removed it of my ST engine. It seals round each port as you can see the floppy rubber.

I reckon a bit of liquid gasket would be enough to seal it again.
