Gear Stick
As I am building the +442, my gearbox/engine is a little further forward than the book build, consequently my gear stick is too! I know there are
extension devices available, but as I do not have the equipment to turn rods etc. or the spare cash to buy a kit, has anyone ever just
'adjusted' the stick with a little heat and some persuasion?
I was thinking of trying to put a dog-leg in the stick shaft or similar?

It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

I'm sure Valtra on here bent his Fiat lever to suit.
Suggest you drop him a U2U.
Failing that heat with a blow-torch until it's cherry red then bend - can't remember whether you then cool it in water or oil but someone
will be along in a minute or google it.
Cheers, Pewe

I'm pretty sure you can do it, I know my friends for pop has one that was done like that.

I bent mine (Escort) cold with a long extension. It's not hard to do. The biggest problem is holding the thing in a vice without damaging it.
