Cat
Due to my Fireblade engine being a 1995 I am unsure whether it need's a Cat or not for the SVA on Friday, so I have hired one from MK. It
arrived today and it looks exactly the same as the standard silencer I already have fitted. How do you tell the difererance or have they made a
mistake and sent me the wrong one?

Sorry I can't help with your question but I also have a 95 Blade engine and am interested to see how you get on.
Ian Grey at STM told me that in the absence of a V5 for the bike Nottingham test centre (which is his local one) will accept that 1995 blade engines
starting with SC28E-2350001 were actually manufactured for the 1995 model year late in 1994 and early 1995 ie. before the August cutoff.
I was hoping that other test centres will accept that as well.
Anyway good luck with your SVA and let us know how you got on,

The cat is probably built in to the front part of the can then - forgot who makes these but its one of the major exhaust suppliers does them (maybe
custom chrome??)
