Zetec 1800 engine mount

hi, i have an 1800 zetec and when lining up the drivers side engine mount it lines up with the bosses but the one nearest the front of the engine is about an inch from the block. Can some one please tell me what should fill this gap im assuming a bracket for the alternator.

thanks for advance.

In its original state in the tin top the engine came from i'm pretty sure its the power steering pump, i seem to remember taking off an aluminium filler between the pump and block.

My mounts are a bit longer made by MK and make up the gap.

Have you any pics of the mount in place ? quiet a few threaded holes on the zetec block so their is a chance you might be in the wrong position.

Hope this helps

you engine mount is in a different possition to mine, mine is more central on the block. The bolt holes on mine are in more of a triangle position one step further back towards the bellhouse.

The picture threw me at 1st because my starter motor is on the other side as well,it may well be a case of yet another different zetec block as your mounts look very much purpose built to access the oil light/pressue switch.

Might be worth a call to westfield if they supplied the mounts, sorry i cant help more than that.
