Weber trumpets - continued

Hi All,

Following on from yesterdays thread

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=107690

I hav taken the mount of and found that if i remove the auxillary Venturi, the trumpet slots straight in and is a perfect fit.

Which leads me to think i need a different type of auxillary venturi to use slot in trumpets.

Note the 2 types shown in the diagram below.

Anyone agree? also anyone got any auxillary venturis? or bolt on trumpets for DCOE40s?

to summarise, you are trying to fit weber parts to a dellorto carb.

what makes you think parts are interchangeable?

the aux. vent. on dellorto is flush with end face hence you cannot fit the extended trumpets, unless you were to cut them down.

you can buy bolt on trumpets that sit flush on the end face.
