types of zetecs
what is the difference between the 1.8 and 2l 130bhp versions of the zetec as they have the same bhp?
apart from one being a 1.8 and the other 2l.

different throttle body but the 2 ltr one will go on a 1.8diff ecu more displacment and proble lots of little tweaks but if your going for 1 get the
2ltr as you wil get more power out of it before you need to turbo

Dont forget that the BHP figure isnt the whole picture. I dont know for sure, but I guess the 1.8 makes the HP reading higher up the rev range. This
basically means that the 2 litre has more torque, so will feel (and is) more powerful.
Dont just build it.....make it!

As both engine can produce far more than they do when fitten in either model suspect Ford set the ECU to fit in with their model line up and the
market it is aimed at.

The 1.8 in standard trim does about 115bhp, but some were fitted with higher lifting cams, taking it up to 130bhp. These were in the Fiesta RS, and
some escorts. I believe they were also fitted to some mondeos but I might be wrong. I guess the inlet manifold would be different aswell.
