AFR Again
I managed to get my idle AFR up today. I thought the mixture screws on my ZX6R carbds were air screws, but it turns out they control fuel not air, so
I was turning them the wrong way [out to lean mixture instead of in]. AFR at idle is now around 15, so need a bit more fiddling to get it right!

ive got my car to sit a little rich at idle about 14.2, and it warms up quite rich from about 12.5 at 12 degrees to 13 at about 35 degrees then 13.5
at about 60 degrees and then up to 14.2,
by the sounds of things you just need to richen the fueling a little around the idle and then tweek up the warm up enrichments.

Thanks
Will the mixture naturally lean off or richen up as the engine warms up? I was assuming it would richen. Nor sure why though.
I'm running carbs so if the mixture is lean when cold I just pull the choke out.
Thanks

the mixture should naturally lean off as your warm up enrichments reduce, when its cold more fuel is added (on top of the VE table) to help the engine
to start, as the engine warms up the amount of fuel added is reduced until the engine is running directly from the ve table when at operating
temperature (MS sees this as 71 degrees)
i just closed my choke off and let MS do the work but adjusting the warm up and after start enrichments so that the engine would start and warm up
with the choke perminently closed.

I'm not running MS though, just carbs and Megajolt.
