boreing a 1.6 pinto
hi all, i was just having some throughts, can a 1.6 pinto be bored out to 2.0 or 2.1? just that as mine is 165 block which is the emax unit, i belive
it has a 2.0 crank and 2.0 rods. and i can fit a 2.0 head and cam on easy as well. can a 1.6 be bored out that much or do the water ways start geeting
in the way of boring it out?
so if it can be done, would just be bore out a 1.6 to 2.0, fit 2 litre pistons, and a 2.0 head, and the job is good?
sorry if it is a stupid question i would just llike to know?
thanks
stuart

Would it not be cheaper and a LOT easier to just buy a 2 litre engine?

I believe the 2L Pinto engine is taller than the 1.6L one by about an inch.
