Are the half shafts the same?

Not as simple as that as there is more than one size for the atlas.

agreed but the splines are still diferent and i didnt see the need to complicate the question
atlas are available in baby narrow and wide wide been the common found on mk3 capris ect there is also a version as fitted to p100s which retain a
simalar pigs head and cwp set up bar ratios but have totaly different halfsafts and hubs the cortina mk345 all have a simalar version of an atlas
parts can be interchanged with some modifacations a nd machineing work
there is also an atlas style axle found mainly on export mk2 escorts theseare commenly passed off as baby atlas axles but there far weaker than any
othe ford axle athough the halfshafts are interchangable into an english axle (but like i say they are very weak)
and if anyone finds a proper pair of baby atlas shafts drop me a line
