zetec EDIS ignition module
has anyone got a pic of the EDIS ignition module from a zetec. I was looking at one today but did not know if it was the right thing or not. If you
have a part number that will be good to thanks

no the box that controls the coil pack is what i am looking for.
It has to be one before 96 i beleve has after this it is part of the ecu.
I need it as i will be using MegasquirtnEDIS

no i was wrong, well that is what the pdf version of the manual for the engine is saying anyway. It say that the edis unit was only on cars with
automatic
transmission.

Not quite...
Most Fords that have a coil pack for ignition have an EDIS btw.
The mondeo post '96 had an internal EDIS, whilst the autos had them external (even though the '94 manual I have in right now doesn't
seem to have one...)
The Escort is the exception to this rule (to about '96 anyway!). They have them down in the nearside front wing, screwed to a metal plate.
It's a black box, about 100x50x15mm with a long connector on the side.
Alas, no camera to hand to take a picture of one for you, but I do have about thirty of them here to compare

the coil pack was allready on the engine but a backup will be good.

They rarely go wrong, but I'm sure we could do a deal.
I also sell new coil packs too, and am working at bringing in a batch of HO Accel jobbies too.

I use them with turbos.
I can't honestly complain, and the size of the spark is impressive!
Hard to really judge effectiveness, but just having a play, and making six inch blue sparks hammer over the place, i'd say, VERY!
