area where we live?
Is there a way to search the members on here and find out who's living close by?

dont think there is but it would be useful!
Mabye if everyone entered a postcode or something (not necessarily that can be seen by others) but then it will show whos close and how far away
etc.
Would be a useful feature

best way might be to change the title of this to 'who lives near blyth?'
i don't think there is a way to search for location, just peoples names i think...
or maybe you can in google? theres a way to search on specific websites i think, so you could essentially search for blyth in locostbuilders, and that
should find if people put it in their location thing, i think

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Nice idea, I see the software is available on the web
It would be cool if each dot or whatever was simply linked to the members profile and also pulled up their photo archive too.
The members being the ones who picked the dots. Though I'd imagine that some would be wary off putting such info on the web as it basically
would show what’s in someone’s garage and where it is etc
That’s why I just put the village name on mine

You can sort of do it in a roundabout way....
Go on Google and type:
leeds site:www.locostbuilders.co.uk
obviously replacing Leeds with wherever it is you want to look for and it will bring up all posts featuring the word Leeds and where Leeds is listed
in the profile of a person posting.

Just needs to be the town, rather than the postcode. Town is close enough, then U2U the person and ask.

I think a map would be excellent with everyone and a dot for each person. No need to do it for the exact garage but for a local town, i think it would
be pretty safe. Or we should do what some clubs do and get everyone to say where they are and a phone number if people feel confortable with this.
Then have a list on this site, so we know whos local etc..????
