Holly fuel pipe
I have a holly carb fitted to my Rover V8 engine. I was plumbing in the fuel feed which enters at the front of the carb on the same side as the
distributor. It occurred to me that if the fuel hose were to fail just before it enters the carb, then fuel would be sprayed over the distributor.I
have thought about putting spiral wrap around the pipe to contain the fuel if the pipe fails but apart from this would the fact thet the fuel pipe is
close to the distribitor be a reason for the car to fail the S.V.A

Hi Bruce,
I doubt that it would be an SVA fail as long as it was securely fastened at regular intervals but I'd be tempted to use braided fuel hose
between the fuel regulator and the carb (assuming you have a regulator on the bulkhead or somewhere nearby) It will look nicer and should be much more
resilient.
Cheers,
Craig.
