Burtons rip off?
How come a 38dgms carb for a 3.0 capri is £200 and one for a 2.0 pinto is £260
???????????

they arent the cheapest I know, I think they get away with it because they have a whack of stuff in 1 place, where it would take a lot of looking to
get it elsewhere.
but you pay for it

With Burtons I think it pays to ask for dicount. I was ordering airsocks off them and they cost a bit more than I expected. I queried the bloke on
the phone and he lopped about 10% off. I can't remember the exact prices unfortunately. It might have been more actually.

they are different aprt numbers also, dont have the catalogue to hand, but they are different. dont know how £60 different though.

burton ripoff
I have just visited burtons shop to pick up bits for race car, their prices are very good compared to DT and the advice and helpfulness of staff was
brill, even showing me a modified catering van baffled sump so I can copy it

Did you remember to ask why their/they're/there(delete as applicable) 3.0 capri carb is cheaper than a 2.0 pinto one. Why not buy the 3.0 carb
and rejet it with some jets from somewhere else? you might find it's dearer than the pinto then but you will have shown them . I think the real
reason is supply and demand. Not many 3.0 Capris about these days but lots still run 2.0 Pinto.
