CVH Inlet question

is the 1.8 and the 1.6 inlet manifolds cross compatible?

Nope, the exhaust manifolds are the same but not inlets.

mmmmmm

The 1.8 has a water take off at the rear of the inlet manifold , the 1.6 uses a thermostat housing on the rear of the head.

If you were really determined you could make an adaptor plate to blank off the 1.8 waterway, when fitting 1.6 manifold, bit like the manifold plate i made for my bike carb manifold.

The ports and studs centres are the same.

Probaably makes no sense but i know what i mean.

Inlet face Injection heads is also diffrent from carb heads --- but it can be worked round.
