pinto poser
Just got a pinto powered cortina for a donor but unsure of the engine size. Owner said it was a 2 litre but im not so sure. Is there any physical
things I can look at before I pull the lump out thatll tell me itsa 2L?

Your local friendly ford parts department should be able to tell you what part of the chassis no means what also i've seen engine sizes on the block
on a cvh perhaps try and find the engine no. hope that is of help!

He's right you know! It's cast big 'n' bold in front of the Offside (right hand) engine mounting bosses, just behind where the alternator fits.
By the way, if it's a 2 litre, there should also be a '20' on the cylinder head casting. 1600cc heads just have a '6'. Can't remember where, but
it's useful to be able to tell whether the head has been changed for the wrong type.
