Gear Box Mount
Does anyone know what thread bolt I need to fit in the mount point cast in the bottom of a Type 9 G'Box? Seems a bit bigger and M10 and a bit
smaller than M12... (M11 maybe ) but I think it might be old money. I had to grind through the original one and it seems to have got lost
since...
Cheers

As Northy said,
I too remember it being m12, it's not imperial.

I've just measured mine, its M12x2mm offset, 39mm of thread from the upper face of the elongated hex section, 19mmAF.. This has a M10x1.75mm
threaded section in the base, which is 24mm deep (I haven't a clue why it is there!)
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

The threaded section in the base is to allow a bar to be taken from the mount to support the sierra exhaust.
Now is it normal or left hand thread ? (cause mine won't shift from my box )

They are both normal thread, the threads have probably eaten into the ally of the box, a little heat and a good welt with a ballpein should do it

Blimey lads that was quick going!
I'll go and give it another try tomorrow with an M12. Now I think about it It's been painted so the thread could be full of crap.
Thanks again
