Anything less than 4" is a worry because that is the legal permitted height of speed bumps

My bell housings the lowest part of mine at aroung 70mm.Built a skid for it, but its not bottomed out even after being slightly airbourn. I avoid
speed bumps like the plague tho!

Mine was about 3" which was fine until I hit a raised manhole when the road surface was being removed. Cue bent chassis, broken engine mounts,
ripped sump, etc.
Definitely going for a shallow winged sump with the current build.
This chap will probably do
mine.

Hi if you cut 2 ins /50mm of the bottom of the sump thats about 12mm more then you needed to .
That makes the bottom of the sump higher them the gear box / fly wheel housing
And welcome to the mad house
