Rover V8 Rocker covers

Does anyone know if there is a difference between rover p6 SD1 rocker covers (other than the cosmetic patterns on them?)
i have an SD1 engine and spotted some polished rocker covers on ebay, but they look like the older p6 type with "Rover" on them.

are there any problems fitting these to an Sd1 lump?

cheers

paul

I am not sure

but seem to recollect if you are running roller rockers or the Group A adjustable rockers the extra room in the SD1 vitesse type covers is required.

I am running the early cast alloy type with my 4.2 V8 with no problems.

they would have gone for about 90 quid i reckon. a lot i know but with a mirror finish. the time it took me to get that finish on one of the old SU's i'd gladly given him the money!
also the engines been unloved and unfinished for so long that now its there i wanted to treat it to some bling!
