n00b help

What are the processes involved to convert a 2.0DOHC injection into a non-injection carburetor version? What do i need etc, what of the injection system needs to be removed (wiring etc) and finally what is the air speed velocity of a swallow? (unlaidened and african)

I think most of this is covered in previous post's at some stage/time. As for the swallow is it male or female and how long ago did it feed?

Convert the flue system to low pressure and get your self a old fashion “mechanical” distributor (you need to replace the ignition coil to). Don't try to reuse the wiring its faster and easier to build/buy a new loom. Also a injection-system with compete loom is easier to sell than one without.

Well funny you ask this question Data on the African swallow is hard to come by but having seen them in flight these guys are the BEC of the bird world! These European ones look to be slower IMHO!
But here is the DATA Although a definitive answer would of course require further measurements, published species-wide averages of wing length and body mass, initial Strouhal estimates based on those averages and cross-species comparisons, the Lund wind tunnel study of birds flying at a range of speeds, and revised Strouhal numbers based on that study all lead me to estimate that the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

You did ask

Why use a crudy old mechanical distributor when you can use this? http://picasso.org/mjlj/

Enjoy.

Locost easy wiring and the good feeling when you can deceive yourself into believing that you actually understand what you are doing. But sure, a more hitech ignition doesn't hurt at all.
