7.5" diff

im looking for a diff for my indy R, which will be using an R1 engine.

and i have come across a 3:62 LSD, but its a 7.5".

can anyone tell me if this will fit my chassis fine, or will i need a 7"

cheers

I would ask the people who made your chassis - i.e. MK

"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

I've got that diff on my indy, but I specified a 7.5" diff when I ordered the chassis,my way of thinking was that if I fitted a 7" diff I could use some spacers on the mounting plates.
You need to measure the gap between the mounting plates on your chassis to see weather they have been made to fit only a 7" diff or not.

My chassis was built by MK to take a 7" diff but i ended up using a 7.5" one. I cut the top left hand part of the bracket off and made a new one to accommodate the extra top width and bolted it to adjoining rail.

No problems so far.
