Bike Carbs To manifold Issue
Ive just put a set of bike carbs with a stainless manifold on my pinto powered Tiger....what a difference from the twin DHLA 40's it feels asa
if it wants to do a wheelie when i put the right foot down!!!! Anyway just one slight problem, the carbs are attached to the manifold with 4 pieces of
silicon hose about 2" long with jubille clips. The lip on the carbs to fasten the hose to is very narrow and ive noticed theyre tending to work
loose, does anyone use any other method of fastening their bike carbs to the manifold

Shouldn't be silicone hose , bogg Bros use some green petrol reinforced cotton braided hose.
I just used black cotton reinforced hose.

I had the same problem with my TBs , fitted 3 braces from the manifold to TBs to secure them which has worked for 3 years now

narrow 9mm hose clips help with this problem.
If you are using silicone it needs to be the fluro lined type that is fuel resistant.

Yes its a common problem.
The way i got round it was to supper glue the hose to the carbs lit it set then fit narrow J/clips
i have a brace fitted between the carbs and rocker cover bolt too
It's been like this for about 3 years now

You can just see the brace in this photo
