Brands Hatch Trackday Noise Regs for BEC?

Looking to take R4 on a track day at brands, according to website they test litre bikes at 5,500rpm but if that same engine is in a car it's tested at 3/4 max (10,000rpm) this doesn't seem fair, but can anyone clarify?

Is there a driveby limit too?

James

I was at brands on Tuesday at the kit car live show, MK's supercharged S2000 got pulled off the track for driveby noise, I think it was 92db limit, although the static test was 105db and it passed that without problem.

I took my R1 Indy there and they did a static test at 6K rpm. Mine got through at 100DB (102DB was the limit as it was an evening session). I didn't get pulled off (ooh err) and no-one mentioned a driveby limit.

ok with my baffles in, I pass the test at anything below 8000rpm - so really depends if they test like a bike or a car. GraigR / Blueskate do you have any contacts that might confirm this? (over the phone they said they don't do that)

not sure how they do it at track days but when we were racing bikes they worked out the revs for the static test with some bore and stroke calculation......woulda thought with the BECS it would only be fair to do the same.
