Exhaust builders

Anyone got any contacts for exhaust builders, preferably not too far from West London. Don't really fancy making my own!

Also, what sort of price am I looking at to make the complete system (including manifold)

from the prices i have seen on here change from about £400-500 is a good deal, not sure about who does them in your area though.

I know its not local for you but Martin(MK) has just started doing custom exhausts.

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

Luego will build you one, all you need to give them is a plan, and template for the manifold.

Not sure how much they are, would be interested to know, as I have yet to get there!

Chris,

I wouldn't expect yours to be cheap where ever you get it from, the v6 has nearly twice as many pipes! can you not modify the standard ones or are they cast headers?

Ned.

Chris,

Mine's about 2/3 finished, don't know if it's any help to you:

I bought from Stoneleigh a Sierra fitment 4-2-1 (steel pipe not cast) which meant I had all the bends etc.

I then cut off the exhaust flanges and extended all the pipes by 12/13" with straight pipe of the same diameter. Then welded the flanges back on.

There's still messing around to do with it but it's nearly there!

Total cost: 25quid!
If I hadn't completely hashed up the welding I'd be quite pleased with it!

Don't know if you can do something similar with pre-made bits for yours?

HTH,

James

mine, i got 4 pieces of 3mm plate, drilled bolt holes and cut a bigger hole for the exhaust, then cut up two full systems, from a sierra and a polo. bodged it all together in a day or two, and stuck the sierra silencer on. Net cost, nowt, except the time invested!

I was going to get my exhaust made locally, but after asking a few telling questions,I decided that they didn't know their ass from their elbow, so made my own

Tube Engineering Ltd. 01673 862286.

Cannot fault them. Did the system while I waited and all for £350 in stainless. Good thing is you get it done just as you want. I know it is hassle getting the car trailered to them if not on the road but well worth the effort. They are a small firm but do parts for some big companies and have all the latest kit, could'nt be more helpful.
