HELP
can anyone help me with this...
passed me sva last week... called the dvla to sort out the registration part and have been told it takes four weeks?
but my insurance runs out in 2 weeks if i dont give them a reg plate number
can anyone tell me what they did to speed up the process..?
no such thing as to much power......

Just ring up your insurance company and explain the situation to them. I'm sure they'd be understanding and extend your cover on the
chassis number for a couple of weeks.

Or ask them to suspend the insurance for a week or two - you can't drive it anywhere for the time being anyway.

I took a day off and registered mine personally, some DVLA centres will, I used Nottingham - 30 minute wait in the queue then out again with my
registration certificate & tax disk in hand. If you are going for a non-Q plate may take longer for build inspection though.

I did mine at Notts on a new build and walked out within 20 minutes with reg number and tax disc.

I personally took mine to the DVLA and they inspected it there and then. Call them so see if you can get a slot for an inspection.
