I had the clubmans 2D version in Ye Olde Sylva - ( Sylva star, 1600 zetec, dellorto 45s. )

I sent mr Dunnell the cheque, he sent me the ecu after confirming the spec of the engine. Got it out of the box, plugged it in via the supplied loom, gave it 12 volts, and that was it. The engine never missed a beat. Pulled like a train, even with no load compensation via advance retard.

Recommended. But then again, so is plugging an edis4 in. As found in your local scrappy for 20 quid. 40-50 quid will build a megajoltlitejunior. All the functionality of the Dunnell ECU and you get to tweak it via serial port on a laptop.
I know what one I'll be going for this winter.

Dunnel are first rate company and whatever they supply will be well and truly sorted, but they are not cheap. I also believe they tend to "lock" their software and they are the only people who will reprogramme it. Your option is an aftermarket ECU from someone like Emerald which can be setup on a rolling road to whatever you want and easy to fine tune with a laptop.
