anyone used this company before?

quite interested in their budget header tank, being let down by someone off of here , still waiting since august, and 2 have apparently been sent out...

It will start off being square, end up looking like a hovis loaf, square is not the best shape for a pressure vessel!

Cooling systems dont run huge pressure though, isn't it about 1 bar for the pressure cap to open? If its made from 3mm Alu, and it has those strengthening 'ribs' it should be fine.

Classic Style 1ltr Alloy Water Header Tank With Cap on eBay (end time 26-Nov-10 19:09:56 GMT) Guy is very good, made me one with a different configuration, but same shape, for the same price and it arrived within a week. Be worth contacting him, see if he can do what you need.

Yes, I have used them the petrol tank I bought is a work of art.

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Technically, its around 2 bar as atmospheric pressure at sea level is 1bar

think pressure caps normally go at 15psi don't they? which is about 1 bar?
anyway, lol, i need a few mods to the tank, so emailed yesterday asking what he can do, nothing back yet

The VW header tanks are ideal shape, spherical, and available new from Eurocarparts for under £10, delivered. Also have a level switch, if want another light on your dash.

Not always, different ones depending on engine temp+thermostat temperature ect..

they're not ideal for me! completely the wrong shap and too big diameter to fit where it needs to go

I've had one of these header tanks for about 3 years in the car, nice piece of workmanship. I am very pleased with the tank and price,excellent service and delivery.
