What Gearbox?
Hi all,
This is my first post and I'm sure not my last, I would like to know if you can use a standard 5 speed gearbox on a 1600 Kent Xflow, and if so
any suggestions at to make/type?
Many thanks

You will need a different clutch tho, from an early 1600 sierra i have been told, then it all bolts together

Milo, might be worth having a look at Rob Lane's site on:
www.domsat.co.uk/pages/locost.htm
Click on the LHS Hyperlink to gearboxes.

Ideally you need the complete 7.5"/192mm clutch from a 1300 Sierra 4 speed -- 2 types exist the later one for gearboxes with "seperate
bellhousing" has the correct splines for the type 9
Another way is to use the clutch driven plate for a Hilman Avenger/Talbot Sunbeam.
