Zetec Dimensions

Hi,

Looking for some dimension for a silvertop zetec. I would measure mine but currently in storage an hour from home!

I am looking to relocate the alternator from the inlet side to the exhaust side and to start designing the bracket I require the dimensions on the pic below:

I am using the top left bolt as you face the exhaust side as the reference. Dimensions required ar from the centre of the holes and to the back edge of the crank pulley. Thanks in advance!

I did exactly that. I'll try and remember to measure up on mine when I get home tonight

Hugh

Ok, as close as I can measure under a tarp with a torch in my gob and a ruler and guessing the hole centres,
I measured in mm, but when I've done accurate measurements on the ford stuff it all seems to actually come to some sensible inch number, so Ive included the equivalent in brackets)
a is 75mm (3"?) b is 85mm (3 3/8" and c is 65mm (2 3/4". The pulley is 1 inch wide.

IIn my set up the belt rotation direction is reversed at the water pump, so I fitted the one that was recommended for the other way round(can't remember which, but its on this forum somewhere) - check which way yours will end up going. The pulley still lines up with the other pulleys though, so the reading for A should still be ok.

Cheers Hugh! Just what I was looking for!

Reason for relocating is primarily it is a very tight fit between the oil filter and the throttle bodies! This makes tensioning difficult and has resulted in a throttle cable run that makes me a bit uncomfortable.

Also should make the fitting and feeding if a better airbox easier
