Dunnell Sump

As there's been a bit of discussion lately regarding Dunnell Racing Sumps, I thought I share my Duratec installation. I have now swapped the con rod bolts for ARP and now ready to install the new sump here's some pics.

That looks really nice, cant be long till you're fitting the engine in the car?

Im planning to fit my ARP conrod bolts in my duratec soon, what method did you use, did you torque them up 3 times or use a stretch guage?

The instructions say to use 40Nm which seems a little low to me but Ive heard the lube allows them to tighten.

Keep the pics coming

The instructions I have from ARP say 45 ft lb which seems ok to me, the Ford ones were not that tight I could get them out using standard wrench on the socket set.

I do intend to take them out and tighten another 2 times, haven't done it yet though- ran out of time today!

The sump is a nice piece of kit well built and is a lot cheaper than a Raceline it also comes with a new pick up so you don't have to mod the original

Regards

Kev,

Do you intend using cable or hydraulic clutch. I'm building a Tiger avon with a Duratec but don't know which way to go with the clutch!!

Cheers,
Neil
