x flow turbo

Hi all im building a locost and i have a xflow engine and i also have a turbo

Iv looked at a posting on this site about mega squirt and the map sensor can cope with with bost as well as vac so you can run a turbo system with it.the only thing is i have a few bits i think could corse problems.

1) heat trasfer in to the pistions as it has a large bowl and lots of serface area ?

2) turbos reley need to run on sintetic oil with a engine overhall with new seals is 15/40 sinthetic ok?

i think i have everthing else sorted has any one done or seen a xflow turbo and did they have problems.

these are a list of parts i will need any coments will be welcom

cosworth air temp sender (or another open element type not covered in brass)
fast idel valve
water temp sender
fuel pump + regulator

performance coil

engine bits

bleed valve
turbo
new rings
high presure oil pump
full gasget set
perfomance shell bearings
exhaust system
oil hoses for turbo
dump valve
perfomance engine mounts
perfomance cluch

bits needed for intake

2" pipe £free
12mm plate
3mm plate £free
pipes for map sensor and fast idle valve
mondeo 2L throttle bodie (needs throttle position sensor)

pipes for filter to turbo and turbo to throttle bodie

POSSIBLES

I Know that lots of people are going to say just put a biger beter more powerfull standed engine in but i have a lot of these parts alredy so it will not cost as much as a new engine with about 150 bhp

i took a turbo in to a reconditioners once, and he recommended synthetic.

the reason I wa told was to prevent crud build up in the turbo oil ways. He showed me a well crudded turbo to prove the point.

perhaps a mineral oil is ok with additives? or if changed regularly?

atb

this is the the reson for the use of sinthetics what happens is when you turn the engine off the oil is no longer moving throw the turbo and the heat in the turbo heats the oil past its operating temp and it leaves deposits in the tube and bearing.
you can leave it ticking over for a minit then turn your engine off this cools the turbo but it still will clog up over time.
