HELP!!! fuel line

hi guys

im getting near to startin my engine and need some help with the fuel line

im using a 1.8 pinto on carbs
wat i need to know is how the fuel line should be set up

it would appear that the 1.8 has a mechanical fuel pump.

does the 2.0 litre have this?

could any1 tell me if i need a electric fuel pump or a return pipe.

ive tried looking in the haynes manual but it deosnt seem too clear about the 1.8 engines

cheers

patrick

The mech pump is up to the job, would even run a pair of 40's, you don't need an electric pump though most of us favour them.
The return pipe is not needed when using carbs and a low pressure pump.

most pintos have the mech pump unless they were injected.

I've fitted my 2.0i to run carbs. I got the mechanical pump from a 2.0- it's a bolt on fitment.

HTH,
James
