The sierra 205 block is the same as the cozzy iif you look behind the dizzy there is 4 numbers ie ---1111 or 2222 the blocks with the 1111 were used for cozzy's as they have better tolerances

The cozzy's use a different crank

I could be wrong but I was told its any number that only consits of 3's and 1's e.g. 1111 or 3333 or 3131 1133 etc you get the idea, how true this is I dont know but I have heard it from 2 different people both who seemed to know alot about cosworths.

according to fords cossie manual its only blocks with grades 2 or 3 - the example it gives is 2232
(my block came from a granada and was graded 2322)

but I'm gessing you'll have to get the bores redone anyway so the factory grades won't matter

the really difference is in what they fitted to the bare block - I think they changed nearly every part....

It may have been 2 instead of 1 then! I dont have the greatest memory! Mines got 3333 stamped on it so 3 is the number im sure about!
