Regulator return to tank

Can the return to tank line from a boost sensitive regulator just be plumbed into the line coming from tank but before the fuel pump? My tank sender only has one output, what probs would there be doing it the above way???

Heres the regulator I'm thinking of getting.. http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/Turbo_Carb_Engine_Fuel_Regulator/Turbo_Carb_Engine_Fuel_Regulator_Single_Output/FSE/218783?searchTerm=turbo%20regulator

Edit- this one looks to have no return to tank. http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/Turbo_Carb_Engine_Fuel_Regulator/Turbo_Carb_Engine_Fuel_Regulator_Montego_Turbo_ADU9217/FSE/218787?searchTerm=turbo%20r egulator .... Bad idea when using an injection pump?

I probably misunderstood but are you saying you're wanting to run an EFI pump with one of the above regulators? If so, they won't cope well at all!

Yes an FI high pressure pump.... What would the prob be?? I would need a pump that gives above 15-20 psi to overcome boost pressure. all carb pumps are 4-6 approx psi so I need to use FI pump...

Just from a memory of a friends old vaux omega(?) that had its regulator die, as I had 3 carb regulators kicking about in the garage (looked much like the ones you linked) I said he was welcome to try them when he spotted them but doubted they'd hold the pressure. 2 popped after a few seconds and leaked everywhere, the other seemed unable to hold back the pressure at all and made it run like poo for 10 seconds then conk out

If I'm reading this right , you are running a turbo with a carb ?

Plumbing the return into the high pressure feed from the pump just simply wont work - there is no pressure in the return line , so the pump would simply pressurize the return line to pump pressure.......
The return line has to be fed back to the tank .

Its cuz I is blond , innit

Blowing thru bike carbs with an eaton.

Fibble- The regulators are advertised to reduce the pressure from an FI 60psi pump down to carb pressure....

Claire- the return would be T'd in before the pump so it would not be pressurized...? Only pressure would be gravity feed from tank and I'm sure that wouldn't cause a prob would it....
