Shocks, Gaz or Protech

This has probably been discussed ad infinitum and I have done a search but I think it's easier just to ask on this occasion. What is the general opinion on the two options? Does anyone have the part number to identify the GAZ Gold shock in the Haynes book? I've been on the GAZ website but can't pin down the exact type. In the Haynes book, the attachment points are nicely spherical but when you look at the GAZ photos, the attachments look tubular on some units and narrow tags on the others, which would possibly need spacers. Protech are available from Saturn and the prices look reasonable. Thoughts appreciated.

Go with Protech, I'm not impressed with the quality of the Gaz dampers.

Hi

If your interested in purchasing Protech dampers that are valved specifically for your application and are balanced in pairs just give me a shout U2U Etc.
All valving and oils are to My specification and built by me and are not available from Protech direct or other Protech suppliers, beware off those making such claims.
These dampers are now being used on many championship winning cars involved in Kit car related motorsport.

2 1/4 Dia from £95 - 1.9 Dia from £91 - Double adjustables from £200.

Holly thread resurrection Batman!

Only 5 years 6 days or rest.

Its best to phone Procomp these days as they are less active on here.

I changed my fronts to Procomp provided Protechs from Gaz. Not a huge difference but certainly an improvement.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
