Frosts sell specific engine paints for that sort of thing. I know some people have used hammerite, but its really not that durable. Might as well
spend a bit more and get the proper stuff :-)

KLIK KLIK
The above stuff is great on blocks... It comes in a 2 pack and sets absolutely solid. 1 tin although small was enough to do the pinto.
Halfords sell it and for some reason are knocking it out for a tenner. I got 2 pots but only needed the one.

Seriously?? The cheapest Rattle can paint you can find. For good reason actually :-)
Cheap paint has limited heat tolerance.. Sooo IF you overheat your motors the paint will blister and bubble telling you youv'e Effed Up. BUT
unless you seriously overheat the engine, the paint works Just Fine.. thanks.
Nothing worse than your engine paint failing to indicate a serious problem has occurred while you were asleep at the wheel.
Food for thought.. I would think :-)

simoniz alloy wheel paint and laquer if required. I did alot of research on the www and a poster on a ford forum had compared paints, this came out
tops, the hotter it got the harder it became. finish is excellent for that au'natural look.
All paints tolerate the high heats associated with engines so the extreme temp paints are not required.

Very light spray with Zinc rich primer then any old cellulose or acrylic aerosol.
I can recommend Hycote "Double Acrylic" aerosol come in tiny cans but cover an amazing area and don't run as easily as most
aerosol --- they are also very cheap !
