throttle probs

hi there,
i am having trouble with my throttle, i have a nissan micra k11 1.3 engine in my classic mini
but the pedal travel is too much, i have to lift my foot right up and littaraly press down on it
is there an easy way to shorten pedal travel but keep full travel at the other end
all idea's very welcome
thanks

you can move the ratio between the pivot and where the cable attaches... move the cable further from the pivot on the pedal, and you'll have to move the pedal less distance to open the carb/throttle body to wide open
