Changing wheel & tyre size

If anyone has expertise, a bit of help would be great.

I currently have 185/60/13s, and am thinking of swapping to 195/45/15s.

My calculations suggest the diameter is pretty similar (bigger wheel, but lower profile), and I think they're on 6.5 or 7" rims, instead of 6" on my 13s.

Also, the offset is virtually identical.

My question is:

Will the edges of the tyres be any closer to my wheel arches?

If the overall diameter is very similar, the tyre isn't much wider (195 v 185) and the wheel itself is only half or one inch wider, will my clearance be greatly reduced.

The maths imply there should be little difference, but I am unsure whether I've missed some big bit of logic from my calcs.

Cheers to anyone with ideas!

Adam.

Good find!

Bob,

Very helpful. I think I knew a lot of the maths involved, but a very clever site to include it all, and answered my questions.

Cheers!
Adam.
