Zetec crank breathing?

Do I need to use an oil catch tank for my zetec install, or can I blank off the bottom outlet and put a filter on the cam cover outlet? Seen both done, but wondering which is best. It's a 2l Silvertop, standard apart from the Jenveys.

Cheers

Adrian

If going for Iva its fround upon to vent oil vapour to the atmosphere and there for onto the road.

I have blanked the block and have a catch tank on the rocker breather.

I used a T piece to allow both block and rocker cover to vent into a catch tank. I made it from an alloy drinking bottle from the pound shop. Bargain!

Both my block and cam cover breathers vent into the air filter backplate.

Never had any oil coming out of either, just a bit of vapour.
