1700 x flow 244 kent cam
HI, I've had no success in finding base carb setings for my 1300 x flow, that is all the excuse I need to fit my 1700 instead, spec as follows,
stage 3 head, 1300 +90 thou high comp pistons with deeper pockets, kent 244 cam, duplex timing gear, lightened and balanced, twin (weber) 40 dcoe
carbs, as this is a more common set up, can anyone help with jet sizes/set up for this just to get me started prior to final setting up on rolling
road,
thanks in advance,

Get some cheap micro drills off ebay ...
also use a digital micrometer to measure cheap drills for accuracy ..
You can now solder up the jets and re-drill to suit n get close..
Then eventualy off to the rolling road..
I got a BCF2 cam .. timing says 16 degrees static advance! go check your timing for your cam...

Personally I wouldn't spend time and money on jetting it myself at all - if it runs, however roughly, book it in and drive it to a good rolling
road place. If not then trailer it.

ISTR Dave Andrews? had a site that gave basic settings for Weber carbs when I was looking into them for my car . You might be better off using bike
carbs or even throttle bodies . I went injection on my x flow , it drives so much better than any weber carbed car I have ever driven
