im using the st fuel rail, it doesnt have a fuel return so im using a T piece to make it work. I think the fiesta uses larger injectors.

Fuel rail itself shouldn't make a difference. Fiesta ST150 uses the same injectors as a Mondeo 2.0 which uses these (0280156154's):

Does the Mondeo 1.8 use the same?

I've used these injectors for 192BHP but decided to change them since the duty cycle was running over 90%.

What power are you aiming for?

Yes fuel pressure running @ 3 bar. Could have increased the fuel pressure but I'm thinking of going for some cams and the better head so decided bigger injectors was the first step (also didn't fancy fuel pressuired to 4 bar+ running up the tranmission tunnel and around the engine bay!).

622BHP/ton... mad but very nice!

What injectors would you use on the touring engine?

I'm looking to upgrade my injectors to keep the fuel pressure at 3bar and a sensible duty cycle, the R400 uses the next size up: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=4058

From what I can tell these are part number: 0280156127

Static Flow Rate: 42lb/hr @ 43.5PSI = 440 cc/min (+/-2%)

Cheaper from the US if you get out there, eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace, works out about $45 to ship plus import duty, so Caterham is the best source.

I'm using ST170 injectors which come in about 197BHP

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Same here - switched to these. 315 cc/min @ 3 bar IIRC.

Minitimer connector instead of the EV6 though.

The Caterham/Cosworth ones at 440 look good and are EV6's (by the looks of it). Just wonder if they would over fuel at the low end though (obviously good to 250-300 BHP though I guess)?

Caterham use these injectors in their 175BHP to 195BHP kit for the R300. I had the Bosch part number wrong, turns out the R400 part number is 0280156162, I’m struggling to locate the flow rate for them, but cross referencing the number shows that they are used in 2.0 and 2.3 Focus engines.

The 0280156127 flow the same as the “big green” injectors used in the CSR and R500.

I've got the following info on the 162's (not sure how reliable though):

OE NR. - 0 280 156 162
Type - EV 6
Resistance (Ohm) - 12
Operating pressure (kPa) - 380
Q-stat (at operating pressure) (g/min) - 194
Q-stat with 300 kPa (g/min) - 172.4
Q-stat with 300 kPa (ml/min) - 246

Standard operating pressure 3.8 bar...

Just found in interesting spreadsheet, it allows you to filter by many different characteristics. It implies the standard 156 and the 162 have the same flow rate and operating pressure:

Injector type OE NR. Type "Info production stop
(status 01.2008)" Resistance (Ohm) Test medium Operating pressure (kPa) Q-stat (at operating pressure) (g/min) Q-stat with 300 kPa (g/min) Q-stat with 300 kPa (ml/min)

0280156128 0 280 156 128 EV 6 14.5 Heptan 270 294 309.9 443
0280156156 0 280 156 156 EV 6 12 Heptan 380 194 172.4 246

0280156336 0 280 156 336 EV 6 14.5 ¤ 300 172 172 246

Spreadsheet can be downloaded from:

Looks like the 127/128 are the only upgrade that fits and plugs directly in to existing loom and fuel rail.

Mine has the 0 280 158 179 injector and I could not find any information, only it seems they are EV14 insted of EV6?
