which x flow Oil Pump

I am currently rebuilding a 1300 GT engine I have the origional Oil pump and is in good condition what oil pressure should this produce as I have fitted all new Main & big end shells

I have also aquired a X-Flow 1600GT Kent Burman MCD4 Oil Pump also in good condition if I fit this would it be a better Pump and any differance in oil pressure produced.

oil pressure at idle when hot 25psi
oil pressure at 2000rpm when hot and above 50 to 65 psi max anymore and all it will do is blow all the oil seals etc...

The uprated oil pumps tend to be high capacity rather than high pressure. Crossflows run pretty low oil pressure anyway. I fitted a Kent HC pump to mine and it runs something similar to the above. It's worth getting a good gauge too, it's a little worrying when the needle is all over the place at idle, nearly showing zero. I have a metric gauge and 1.5bar (20psi ish) doesn't look much
